Au Co Cruise Halong bay

The Au Co Cruise ship is setting new standards of safety and luxury in the Gulf of Tonkin and setting herself apart from other Halong Bay Cruises. Her impressive external steel structure belies the innovative and luxurious Oriental design to be found within.
In the Gulf of Tonkin, we’ve found the ‘location, location, location’. But aboard The Au Co itself, we’ve created ‘space, space, and more space’ .
The ship is a remarkable 55.29m in length and 10.43m in width. Each of our 32 spacious cabins has its own private balcony or terrace – allowing unparalleled private views of the surrounding seascape.
On the upper decks, our elegant restaurant and open-air bars are designed along principles of Feng Shui (or in Vietnamese ‘Phong Thuy’) to heighten our passengers’ sense of connection with the wonderful environment of the surrounding Gulf of Tonkin, as well as giving them a taste of the Orient and Vietnamese culture.

The elegant and luxurious The Au Co Restaurant has been carefully arranged according to the generating principle of Wu Xing, with the dining room featuring both wood and metal elements. On arrival, guests will notice that the interior elements of the wooden furniture and polished wooden floor help air flow, harmonizing the natural light and wind with the surrounding landscape and mountains, giving guests the feeling of being immersed in nature, satisfying the senses of sight and taste.
Meanwhile, metal elements in the dining room are minimized by reducing kitchen and other electrical appliances in the room, which would just distract from the meal. According to the principle that water nourishes wood, the sight of the Gulf’s water and the sound of soft music are simply used to create a calm, gentle atmosphere, which should stimulate guests’ appetites.
The terrace deck of The
Halong bay Au Co Cruise features an open-air bar; again designed with the Feng Shui principle of Yang – Movement – Flexibility, as a counterpoint to the Yin – neutral – Earth element. The spacious bar, named as Lan Ha Bar, with its light rattan furniture are the perfect place to relax and while away your day accompanied by a range of food, beverages, and snacks. Alternatively, Lan Ha Bar is the place to meet after a busy day of activities for a pre-dinner cocktail as the sun sets over the Gulf of Tonkin.
Lan Ha Bar stocks a full complement of aperitifs, wines, cocktails, drinks and snacks, and serves visitors until late at night.
If guests are seeking more privacy and comfort each cabin has its own in-cabin refrigerator, which we can stock with your choice of beverages.
